ELLEN CRUMMY (Butler), a freshman on the Case Western University women's swim team, swam the backstroke on Case's 200-yard and 400-yard medley relay teams that placed sixth at the University Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships in Rochester, N.Y. She also swam a personal-best time of 2 minutes, 12.70 seconds in the 200-yard backstroke.
