Teens earn titles, crowns

Both win entry to state pageant

Butler Township — Two winners were named Saturday in the 2008 Miss Butler County Outstanding Teen/America and Miss Moraine State Outstanding Teen/America pageant held at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

Elizabeth Archambault, 16, of Butler, earned the Butler County Title.

The crown for Miss Moraine State went to Elissa McCracken, 17, of Waynesburg.

Archambault, the daughter of David and Elizabeth Archambault, performed a tap dance to "Stuff Like That There"for the talent portion of the competition.

McCracken, the daughter of Jeff and Helen McCracken, performed on piano and sang the song "Don't Know Why."

The winners receive paid entry to the Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen/America pageant in July.Judging was based on interviews, talent, onstage questions, evening gown and fitness wear.

Also honored at the pageant were Sarah Bishop, 15, and Crystal Chilcott, 15, first and second runners-up in the Miss Butler County Outstanding Teen/America pageant.In the Miss Moraine State pageant, Cassandra Trent, 15, and Olivia Thomas, 15, were named first and second runners-up respectively.
