Driver won't be charged in death of 3-year-old sledder

BIG BEAVER — State police say there will be no charges against the driver whose car hit a sled, killing a 3-year-old Beaver County boy.

Police say 33-year-old Robert Rhodes of Freedom wasn't speeding on the icy road.

Police say Alexander Davis and his 10-year-old brother were sledding down their driveway in Big Beaver on Wednesday afternoon when the sled went into the path of Rhodes' car and was hit.

Police say the older boy was sitting in front on the sled.

Authorities say a girl had been watching for traffic as the boys were sledding, but couldn't warn the car in time.
