Wilson feared being shot
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Cedrick Wilson said his ex-girlfriend has kicked him and he fears she would shoot him if she gets a gun, according to a temporary protection-from-abuse court order he obtained against the woman.
Wilson sought the court order Tuesday, two days after Lindsey Paulat, the mother of his 1-year-old daughter, Anya, was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment for firing two shots in the player's home once he left after an argument.
"I believed I would be shot if she got access to gun," the document said. "Since break up of relationship I am fearful — behavior out of control," Wilson said in concluding the court petition.
Paulat remained in custody today and her family has repeatedly declined to comment. It is not clear if she has an attorney.
