Edna A. Allam, 95, formerly of Milheim Drive, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday at Sunnyview Home.

Born Aug. 21, 1912, in Butler, she was the daughter of William C. and Gertrude Oesterling McDowell.

Mrs. Allam was a homemaker. She also had been a Red Cross volunteer at Butler Memorial Hospital and enjoyed playing cards.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She survived by a son, William E. Rickard of Fredonia, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Kelly of Butler and Mrs. O.G. (Nancy) McMillin of Sharpsburg, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Bunny) Carlson of Wyomissing, Berks County, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward S. Rickard, who died in 1970; her second husband, Alfred Allam, who died in 1979; two sisters; and four brothers.
