Bobbert

Mary Jane Bobbert, 78, of Springfield Township, Mercer County, died of natural causes at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Born in Sandy Lake, Mercer County, March 18, 1929, she was the daughter of Orlo Auchter Perschka and Laura Edith Nagle.

She was a 1947 graduate of Mercer High School.

Mrs. Bobbert was a homemaker. She had been head cook at the Grove City school cafeteria and retired after 20 years.

She was an active member of Balm United Methodist Church in Blacktown, where she belonged to United Methodist Women. She was an active member of the Mercer County Republican Party and belonged to Grove City AARP.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Darlene Rowe and her husband, Robert, of Industry, and Laurie Ann Baer and her husband, Ed, of Grove City; three sons and their spouses, William Jeffery and Charlaine Bobbert of Grove City, Thomas LeRoy and Tammie Bobbert of Volant and Richard Allan and Marie Bobbert of Mercer; a sister, Dorothy Damon of Erie; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Her husband, William Presley Bobbert, whom she married June 25, 1948, died May 3, 1999. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles D. and Robert O. Perschka.

<B>BOBBERT </B>— Friends of Mary Jane Bobbert, who died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Smith Funeral Home,</B> 1778 Perry Highway, Leesburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park Pine Township, Mercer County.Memorial contributions may be made to Balm United Methodist Church.
