Pruckner

Margaret Julia Pruckner, 93, of Butler died Sunday at the Vincentian Regen-cy Nursing Home in Allison Park. Since 1997, she lived with her daughter in California, and in September, she moved to the nursing home, where she received loving and attentive care.

Born Oct. 21, 1914, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of John and Julia Krchnavy Vavro.

Mrs. Pruckner was a homemaker and mother and was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She also was a member of the Women's Council of the church.

Surviving are a son, Leonard J. Pruckner and his wife, Hazel J. Pruckner, of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Tuhacek of Millbrae, Calif.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Ernest Geza Pruckner, whom she married in 1935, died Aug. 7, 1975. A son, James Pruckner, died in 1992. A sister, Theresa; and six brothers, Alvin, Joseph, John, Frank, Benedict and Steve, also preceded her in death.

<B>PRUCKNER — </B>Friends of Margaret Julia Pruckner, who died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Franklin Street, with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Peter Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter Church will recite the rosary at 12:40 p.m. Saturday at the church.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
