The Mars American Legion 787 and Mars VFW 7505 wish to thank all of those who have sent us donations for our Needy Basket Program. This program runs all year long and covers the Mars School District.

In 2007, we helped about 20 families. The Needy Basket Program has been helping our neighbors for more than 30 years. The local Legion and VFW posts in Mars distribute from 20 to 40 gift certificates each year to local residents experiencing hard times.

Donations for the Needy Basket Program are being accepted. Checks should be made payable to Mars American Legion 787/Mars Veterans of Foreign Wars 7505. Needy Basket program should be written on the memo line.
