Helen E. Kovach

Helen E. Kovach, 86, of Lumar Village died Saturday evening at the Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway, Jefferson County.

Born in Lyndora, March 17, 1921, she was a daughter of Joseph and Victoria Penar Nietrzeba.

She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jeffrey (Darlene) Chamberlain of Brockway; a grandson, William Ishman of Brockway; three great-grandchildren, Tabitha, Jacob and Matthew Ishman; and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Frances) Black of Butler and Mrs. Charles (Genevieve) Doria of Florida.

Her husband, Steve J. Kovach, whom she married April 6, 1942, died March 29, 1999. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, two sisters and six brothers.

<B>KOVACH </B>— Friends of Helen E. Kovach, who died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.Additional information can be found and condolence messages placed at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
