Dr. John G. Arscott, 84, of Cranberry Township died Saturday.

Born Oct. 21, 1923, in Scranton, he was the son of William and Anna Bessemer Arscott.

He served with the Army in Europe during World War II.

Dr. Arscott graduated from Logan Chiropractic College of St. Louis in 1950. He then had two careers. He first was a chiropractor in Allison Park in the 1950s and then retired in 1985 from the Corrosion Control Division of Equitable Resources.

He was a member of the English Lutheran Church, Zelienople.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Arscott, formerly of Gibsonia; two daughters, Linda (Norman) Ryan of Allison Park and Kathy (Bernard) Campbell of Florence, S.C.; a grandson, John (Lisa) Maier; a great-granddaughter, Victoria; nephews; nieces, and a sister-in-law in Scranton.
