Bridget A. Higgins, 97, formerly of McCalmont Road, died Thursday morning at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born in Oakland Township, March 28, 1910, she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine McGinley Smith.

She was a homemaker and former Red Cross Gray Lady at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Higgins was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Higgins of Butler and Thomas Higgins of Renfrew; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Geraldine) Covert of Renfrew and Mrs. Stewart (Mary) Seman of Hinsdale, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh A. Higgins, who died Oct. 13, 1975; a son, George L. Higgins, who died May 30, 2004; a brother; and two sisters.

<B>HIGGINS</B> — Friends of Bridget A. Higgins, who died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. Monday at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001 or to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
