Clarence Schaney Jr.
Clarence R. "Bud" Schaney Jr., 91, of Butler died at 7 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington at Adams in Adams Township.
Born June 11, 1916, in Verona, he was the son of Clarence Raymond Sr. and Marie Entry Schaney.
He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, where he belonged to the choir. He also was a member of the Unionville Grange.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Griffin (Ruth) Smith of Frewsburg, N.Y., and Mrs. Robert (Jennie Lee) Henry of Marion Center, Indiana County; two sons, C. Raymond Schaney of Erie and George O. Schaney of Butler; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary R. Shanor Schaney, who died June 24, 1973; his second wife, Geraldine Kamerer Schaney, who died Aug. 10, 1995; two sisters, and a brother.
<B>SCHANEY </B>— Friends of Clarence R. "Bud" Schaney Jr., who died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., with his pastor, the Rev. James Dollhopf, officiating.
