Ruth Maleski, 90, formerly of Merritt Drive in the Castle Heights area, died Sunday at the Lowrie House.

Born May 27, 1917, in Butler, she was a daughter of Stephen and Thelma Fediaczko Maleski.

She was a graduate of Butler High School and The Butler Business College.

Miss Maleski had been the co-owner and operator of the Castle Roller Rink in Butler for 45 years. Along with her brother, Emil Maleski, she built the rink in 1954 and operated it until 1985. She was a former member of the Roller Skating Rink Operators Association.

She had been an avid golfer at the Lake Arthur Country Club.

She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Martin Merritt of Akron, Ohio, and Merce Maleski of Grantham, N.H.; a niece, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Martin of Dublin, Ohio; a nephew, Stephen Maleski of Sutton, Vt., and two grandnephews.

Her brother, Emil E. Maleski, died April 28, 2001.

<B>MALESKI </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Ruth Maleski, who died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St. The Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman will officiate.
