Howard S. "Howdy" McCune, 59, of Butler died at 12:23 p.m. Friday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born May 26, 1948, in Butler, the son of the late John McCune and the late Evelyn Reges McCune.

Mr. McCune worked at Pullman Standard and H.P. Starr. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool and fixing things.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Shannon) Schlogel, Angela McCune, Ashley McCune and Samantha McCune, all of Butler; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Edith) Sumney of Ohio, Mrs. John (Dorie) Sarver, Mrs. Glenn (Judy) Wells and Mrs. John (Esther) Daly, all of Butler; and three brothers, James, Raymond and Danny McCune, all of Butler.

He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
