Edward H. Knauff

Edward H. Knauff, 86, of Zelienople, died Thursday at Passavant Retirement Community.

Born Sept. 10, 1921, in Harmony, he was the son of Edward G. and Ella Mae (Wise) Knauff.

Mr. Knauff was a member and lifetime trustee of St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople. He was also a member of Harmony Lodge No. 429 F&AM and the New Castle Consistory.

Mr. Knauff retired as a millwright from Armco Steel in 1982 and was a U.S. Army Air Corps, World War II veteran, serving in the Asian-Pacific Theatre.

He is survived by his son, Edward A. Knauff and his wife, Denise of Zelienople; his daughter, Maralu McMillen and her husband, John of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; a sister, Helen Clouse of Zelienople; a brother, Paul "Pete" Knauff of Evans City; six grandchildren, Katie Tomo, Adam Knauff, Christine Van Den Eykel, Melissa Lake, Richelle Zirkle and Jessica Hedmann; and seven great-grandchildren: Daniel, Nathan and Matthew Van Den Eykel, Hunter and Michelle Lake, Madeleine Tomo, and Sofia Knauff.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine F. (Flanagan) Knauff who died, Sept. 9, 2003, and a stepson, Richard Oliver.

<B>KNAUFF</B> — Friends of Edward H. Knauff, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti and the Rev. Wilfred Goetze, officiating. Burial will be in Evans City Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E.
