Guy L. Grenet
Guy L. Grenet, 86, of Prospect died Tuesday at Jameson Hospital in New Castle after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 22. 1921, in Butler, he was the son of Alexander "Max" and Gladys A. Gray Grenet.
He served as a sergeant during World War II, was a survivor of Pearl Harbor, received the Bronze Star and had 22 years of military service.
Mr. Grenet was a retired bricklayer.
He was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, the VFW, Local 9 of the Bricklayers Union and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by a sister, Donna Grenet of Butler.
His wife, Jean Shiever Grenet, who he married Dec. 14, 1945, died Dec. 12, 2000. He also was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
<B>GRENET</B> — Friends of Guy L. Grenet, who died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the The Presbyterian Church of Prospect with the Rev. Robert Allison officiating. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the T.A.N. Organization of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
