Pakutz

Dorothy Isovitsch Pakutz, 80, of Butler died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 30, 1927, in Butler, she was a daughter of Emerick and Anna Petch Isovitsch.

Mrs. Pakutz had been a cashier for the A&P grocery store in Butler for more than 30 years until the store closed. She then worked at the Alameda Tea Co. in Butler for more than 10 years until her retirement when that company closed. She also was a homemaker and mother.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She also was a member of the American Legion Post 778 Auxiliary and the Tanglewood Senior Center and was a former volunteer at the Monday Night Bingo at Tanglewood.

Surviving are a son, Stanley J. Pakutz and his wife, Connie Pakutz, of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Kathy) Barger of Butler; a brother, George E. Isovitsch Sr. and his wife, Helen Isovitsch, of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Gillott of Butler; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pakutz of Lyndora and Ivy and Mary Isovitsch, both of Butler; four grandchildren, Mrs. Jim (Kerri) Bryer of North Versailles, Brian J. Pakutz of Punxsutawney and Kristina M. and Braden A. Barger, both of Butler; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Grace Bryer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Stanley Pakutz, who she married June 10, 1950, died April 18, 2006. Six brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.

<B>PAKUTZ </B>— Friends of Dorothy Isovitsch Pakutz, who died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating.
