Averil M. Goughler, 71, of Emlenton died Friday at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Born Oct. 22, 1936, in Irwin Township, Venango County, she was the daughter of Albert Gaston Roxberry and Mary Teressa Carr Roxberry.

Mrs. Goughler attended Wesley Normal School in Wesley.

Mrs. Goughler worked at the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in the food service department, retiring in 2000 after 28 years.

She was a member of the Scrubgrass Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, nature, NASCAR, animals and her seven grandchildren.

She was married to Harold R. Goughler on Feb. 18, 1956, and he survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Connie L. Both and her husband, William J., of Fredericksburg, Va.; a son, Larry E. Goughler of Emlenton; seven grandchildren, BJ, Rachel, Jessica, Isaac, Jeremiah, Luke and Leah, all of Fredericksburg, Va., and a sister, Mrs. Charles "Shirley J." Snyder of Butler.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mrs. William "Ida M." Johnston and Carol Roxberry; and three brothers, Gale, Glenn and Robert Roxberry.

<B>GOUGHLER</B> — Family and friends of Averil M. Goughler, who died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, will receive from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Seibert of the Berean Bible Church of Greenberg officiating. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park in Grove City.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Humane Society, P.O.
