Frances I. Christofano
Frances I. Christofano, 72, of Butler died Wed-nesday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Canton, Ohio, Oct. 29, 1935, she was the daughter of Joseph Howard Warren Sr. and Violet Woolever Warren McCowin.
She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Friedman's Supermarkets and the Butler Eagle and also had been a cafeteria worker for the Butler School District.
Mrs. Christofano was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, the 55 & Alive group of the church and the French and Belgium Club.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Christofano, to whom she was married for 53 years; two sons, Anthony P. Christofano of Denver, Colo., and Michael D. Christofano and his wife, Janet, of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Theresa) Wooldridge of Ellerslie, Md., Mrs. Michael (Anna Marie) Powers of Butler and Mrs. John (Donna) Majetich of New Kensington; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Dawn Wooldridge, both of Maryland, and Joseph Jr., Randy and Virginia Christofano, and Nicholas and Stephen Powers, all of Butler; and three great-grandchildren, Leilanie, Kaylee and Kiley Christofano, all of Butler.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph J. Christofano Sr., who died Nov. 2, 2006; three brothers, and two sisters.
<B>CHRISTOFANO</B> — Friends of Frances I. Christofano, who died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
