Murray

Ethel V. Murray, 91, of Tarentum died Saturday in Lexington, Ky.

Born June 17, 1916, she was the daughter of Bartram and Ada B. Gibbs Murray.

She was a graduate of Slippery Rock College and taught school in Cheswick and in the Tarentum 5th Ward for 45 years.

Miss Murray was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Springdale Chapter 453; the Cairo Court 97 Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in New Kensington.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great- nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and seven brothers.

<B>MURRAY</B> — Friends of Ethel V. Murray, who died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home</B>, 801 Pittsburgh St., Springdale, where services will be 11 a.m. Friday.
