Charles J. Geibel Sr.
Charles J. Geibel Sr., 83, of Fenelton died Monday at his home.
Born May 26, 1924, in Herman, he was a son of Leo and Catherine Osche Geibel.
He was a retired mill operator and had worked for the Penn Dixie Cement Co. in West Winfield until his retirement. He also operated his family's farm in Clearfield Township his entire life.
Mr. Geibel was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.
His wife, Anna M. Lunn Geibel, whom he married July 9, 1946, survives. Also surviving are seven sons, Charles J. Geibel Jr. of Chicora, Richard L. Geibel of the Greece City area, Thomas E. Geibel of Fenelton, Joseph V. Geibel of Butler, Robert P. Geibel of Chicora, Donald R. Geibel of Butler, and David A. Geibel of Fenelton; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Carol) McIlwain of Texas, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Boche of Ohio and Mrs. Charles (Patricia) Gorda and Mrs. Raymond (Joyce) Taylor, both of Wyoming, and two brothers, Ambrose Geibel of Fenelton and Leroy Geibel of Kane.
He also is survived by 29 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A sister and five brothers preceded him in death.
<B>GEIBEL</B> — Friends of Charles J. Geibel Sr., who died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville, with the Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating.
