Kathleen Hall Synan
Kathleen Denise Hall Synan, 60, of Stoughton Road, Scott Township, Lawrence County, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday in Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle.
Born Sept. 7, 1947, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of George and Dorothy Eva Hall Ofsonka.
Mrs. Synan was a homemaker. She had worked at Lezzer Lumber in Grove City and had been an office secretary at McLure Johnson in New Castle.
She was Catholic, and she enjoyed cooking and playing bingo.
Mrs. Synan is survived by her husband, John Edward Synan Sr.; a son, Joseph A. Kulback of Seoul, South Korea; four brothers, William Hall of Irwin, Thomas Hall of West Palm Beach, Fla., Charles Hall of Portersville, and George Ofsonka II of West Alexandria; two sisters, Alice Meyer of Turtle Creek and Helen Ofsonka of Portersville; three stepsons, John Synan Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla., James Synan of Penn Hills and Jeffrey Synan of New Castle; a stepdaughter, Lori Synan of New Castle; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
<B>SYNAN — </B>Friends of Kathleen Denise Hall Synan, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at <B>SMITH FUNERAL HOME, </B>421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew R. McClain of St. Peter, officiating. Burial is in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville.
