Daniel R. Weiland
Daniel R. Weiland, 27, of Butler died early today at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born June 13, 1980, in Butler, he was a son of Dean R. and Diane M. Myers Weiland.
Mr. Weiland was a graduate of Butler High School. He also graduated from Butler County Community College and earned a degree in meteorology from Penn State University.
He was employed at the II-VI Corp. in Saxonburg and had formerly worked as the co-manager for Friedman's Supermarket in East Brady.
Mr. Weiland enjoyed singing and was a member of the Butler Musical Theatre Guild. He also enjoyed golfing.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
He is survived by his parents of Butler; his fiancée, Brittany Snow of East Brady; a brother, Robert M. Weiland and his wife, Cora Weiland of Harrisburg; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Weiland of Butler; his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Patricia Myers of Butler, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
His paternal grandfather, Merle H. Weiland, preceded him in death.
<B>WEILAND — </B>Friends of Daniel R. Weiland, who died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
