Mary E. Thimons
Mary Elizabeth Thimons, 83, formerly of Saxonburg, died Monday at UPMC St. Margaret.
Born Oct. 29, 1924, in Buffalo Valley, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Peter and Sarah (Spiker) Janukites.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Deer Lakes Nazarene Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo and watching soap operas.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Linda) Thimons of Pontiac, Ill., Edwin (Debbie) Thimons of Cranberry Township and Edgar (Elizabeth) Thimons of Tarentum; five daughters, Phyllis (Ron) Hess of Slate Lick, Lucinda (Joe) Chupka of Butler, Barbara Durci and Bonnie (Steve) Reckhart, both of Sarver, and Sandra (John) Penk of Russelton; three brothers, Joseph (Janet) Janukites of Fenelton, James (Mary) Janukites of California and Peter (Helen) Janukites of Worthington; two sisters, Helen Mowry of Kittanning and Stella (Ralph) Holtz of West Sunbury; 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Leonard Thimons, who died in 1972; two brothers, William and George; and two sisters, Francis and Anna.
<B>THIMONS</B> — Friends of Mary Elizabeth Thimons, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Richard Wise, officiating.
