Ruth E. Osborne, 82, of Butler died at 2 a.m. Friday at Sunnyview Home.

She was born June 26, 1925, in Slippery Rock, the daughter of James Alton and Eva Mildred Fleming Kennedy.

She had attended SlipperyRock University and Duquesne University. She was an alumni of the Jamison Hospital Nursing School.

Mrs. Osborne was a retired nurse for the Pennsylvania Public Health Department.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond R. Osborne, who she married March 14, 1947; her daughter, Denise and her husband, Thomas Cambisi, of Rodchester, N.Y.; her son, Dennis and his wife, Linda Osborne of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Bell of San Diego, Calif., and Ann and her husband, Dr. Howard Wadstrom of Los Almos, N.M.; and a brother, the Rev. James H. Kennedy of Black Mountain, N.C.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
