Gary 'Pete' Stivason
Gary D. "Pete" Stivason, 40, of Butler died Monday at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Born July 16, 1967, in Butler, he was the son of Josephine Adams Stivason of Butler and the late Eugene R. Stivason.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and belonged to United Bow Hunters and Butler Hunting and Fishing Club and was a life member of the NRA.
Mr. Stivason worked for Etzel Masonry for 20 years. He was a member of Local 9 of the Bricklayers, Masons and Roofers Union, where he served as union steward.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy (Suchonic) Stivason; his mother; his twin sister, Mary Stivason of Butler; a sister, Deborah Stivason of Butler; four brothers, Gene, Terry, Chuck and James Stivason, all of Butler; a stepdaughter, Dawn Hartman of Butler; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
