Vernon A. Williams, 82, of Cranberry Township died Thursday evening at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh on Aug. 23, 1925, he was the son of Dewey and Sarah Shepler Williams.

He was a self-employed television repairman and also worked as a television repairman for 18 years at Sears in Lawrenceville. He also was a mink rancher.

He had served in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Vernon "Bud" Williams, Jr. of Prospect and Jeffery Williams of Maryland; five sisters, Thelma Heatherington of Allison Park, Norma Rupert and Joan Ford, both of Cranberry Township, Lois Maxwell of Valencia and Margaret Worthing of Wisconsin, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florabel Kuntz Williams, who he married Nov. 9, 1946, and who died in 1994; a son, Lonnie Williams; a daughter, Bonita Williams; a brother, and a sister.
