IN BRIEF
PHILADELPHIA — The echoes of "Duuuuuce!" were heard one more time when former Philadelphia running back Duce Staley was honored at halftime of the Eagles' game against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Staley, who did not have his number retired, was recognized for his three 1,000-yard rushing seasons and three trips to the NFC title game in eight years with the Eagles.
Staley finished his career in Pittsburgh and won a Super Bowl ring. But Staley said he always considered himself an Eagle.
Staley is third on Philadelphia's career list in both yards rushing (4,807) and attempts (1,200).
