Shawn Carr drained a fadeaway 3-pointer as time expired as the Grove City College men's basketball team downed Washington & Jefferson College 58-55 in a President's Athletic Conference game Saturday.

Carr became Grove City's all-time leader in 3-pointers (160). Carr finished with a game-high 16 points, including four three-pointers.

Ryan Gibson added 12 points and Andy O'Keefe had 10 points for the Wolverines (6-1, 2-0).

n Jace Lumley (Butler) scored nine points and Tyler Drzemiecki (Moniteau) added eight points, but Butler County Community College lost a 72-53 decision to CCACC-Allegheny Saturday.

The Pioneers (1-8, 0-1) will travel to face the Geneva College junior varsity team at 7 p.m. Monday.

Women's Basketball

The Wolverines dropped a 76-60 decision to Washington & Jefferson College, which used an 18-4 run early in the second half to pull away.

Raeann Szelong led Grove City with 14 points.
