What a way to get win No. 1.

The Slippery Rock University men's basketball team had five players score in double digits for a wild 103-95 overtime win over Glenville State at Morrow Field House Thursday night.

Jamar Scales scored 22 points and Butler High graduate Jade Burka added 18 points and 11 rebounds for The Rock (1-4), which outscored Glenville State 22-14 in overtime.

Joseph Vines came off the bench to score 17 points, ErrollRobinson added 15 and Ken Ottrix 14 for SRU.

Slippery Rock point guard Darnell Johnson scored only eight points, but he recorded 22 assists and four steals.

He played 45 minutes in the game.

SRU shot 63.5 percent from the floor in the game and was 14-of-17 from the free throw line in overtime.

Mykail Vibbert scored a game-high 35 points for Glenville State.
