The Eagle is seeking sources for a December story on acts of kindness.

EVANS CITY — The Evans City Library, 204 S. Jackson St., invites children ages 6 to 10 to help decorate the library Christmas tree from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.Participants will make their own ornaments to adorn the tree. To participate, call 724-538-8695.Donations of handmade ornaments are also being collected and can be dropped off at the library.

BUTLER TWP — A breakfast with Santa Claus will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 15 at the Butler Township Park Building, South Duffy Road.Hosted by the township and the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, the event will feature a breakfast, crafts, games and treats for toddlers through children age 10. Registration is required by calling 724-284-5383.

The following holiday concerts have been announced:<B>Union School District</B> will host a Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Union High School. The concert will feature the elementary school band and choirs. Non-perishable food items will be collected for area food banks.<B>Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School</B> will present a concert of the high school choirs and bands at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school auditorium.<B>Moniteau High School </B>will present a holiday band concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium. The concert will feature the jazz band, elementary advanced band, junior high band and high school band. The evening will include a pre-concert visit from Santa.

MARS — A Mars Farmers Holiday Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Community Church of Mars, Route 228 and Pittsburgh Street.Held in the church's fellowship hall, the event will include the sale of plants, holiday decorations, jewelry, food items and gifts.

The Butler Eagle is seeking stories on holiday traditions. The traditions can be ethnic practices passed from earlier generations or new traditions recently started.If you would like to contribute to this holiday story, call Sandy at 724-282-8000, Ext. 252.

KITTANNING — St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe will have its annual Holly Berry Festival Saturday and Sunday in the parish hall at 361 N. Jefferson St.The festival will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.Admission is free and a meatloaf dinner will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
