Frank "Bud" McKinley, 79, of Conneaut Lake died Saturday at the Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

He was born in Meadville, June 3, 1928.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Conneaut Lake Sand and Gravel for more than 40 years and retired at the age of 75. He also built, owned and operated the McKinley Motel and Cottages at Conneaut Lake.

During World War II, he served in the Army's Amphibious Engineers.

Mr. McKinley was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, Conneaut Lake.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing and walks to Conneaut Lake Park.

He married Amy Myrick, Oct. 27, 2001. Surviving are his wife of Evans City; five children, Linda Hussar and her companion, Sonny, Laurita Schwenke and her husband, Keith, William DeHart and his wife, Bonnie, Tom DeHart and his companion, Lisa and Paul DeHart and his wife, Toni, all of Evans City; a sister, Marietta Barski of Cape Coral, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren, Danny and Lisa McKinley, Nicholas and Andy Schwenke, Jamie and Kelly Stephenson, Megan Greathouse and Mason, Melisa and Seth DeHart.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline; a son, Dana McKinley, and a grandchild, Jason Stephenson.

<B>MCKINLEY</B> — A Mass of Christian burial for Frank "Bud" McKinley, who died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at Our Lady Queen of America Roman Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake, with the Rev.
