Kunselman

Chet W. Kunselman, 36, of Ross Township, formerly of Butler, died Sunday, surrounded by his family, after a courageous 8-month battle with cancer.

He graduated from Knoch High School and received a bachelor's degree in biology from Westminster College.

He was employed for five years as a sales associate with Ryan Homes and prior to that with the National Rehabilitation Services as a certified orthotic fitter. At the time of his death, he was vice president of Strategic Starts, a health care consulting firm he started with his mother specializing in medical and dental practice start-ups.

He attended Allegheny Community Alliance Church.

He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and golfer.

He collected movies and loved to work in the yard, clean his car and fix things. He was a committed father and loving husband and lived long enough to see his son take his first steps.

Surviving are his wife of two years, Corinne Durec Kunselman; a 1-year-old son, Brady Mitchell Kunselman; his parents, Larry and Pat Kunselman of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Butler; brothers, Adam (Kathy) Kunselman of Bridgeville and Andy (Jule) Kunselman of Mount Lebanon; his wife's parents, David and Nancy Durec of Cochranton; sister-in-law, Carrie (Rob) Durec Best of W.Va.; brother-in-law, Mike (Katy) Durec of Kentucky; grandparents, Rowena McCullough of Florida and Olive and Wally Kunselman of Kittanning; grandparents-in-law, Andy Ondo of Espyville and Betty Durec of Ford Cliff; nephews, Owen and Carlos; niece, Ava; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

<B>KUNSELMAN</B> — Friends of Chet W. Kunselman who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the<B> Simons Funeral Home</B>, 7720 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church.Contributions may be made to College America, Attn.
