Frank P. Noland Jr., 81, of Butler died at 9:37 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Gardens.

Born Oct. 28, 1926, in Bolivar, W.Va., he was the son of Frank Persel Sr. and Viola (Barnhart) Noland.

He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a prisoner of war.

He enjoyed listening to music.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Joan T. Noland of Harmony; a sister, Genevieve Beamer of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews, including Frank J. Noland of Harmony.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
