Richard N. "Dick" Eyles, 81, of Zelienople died Friday at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born Feb. 27, 1926, in Everett, he was the son of Harvey R. and Rhoda Danver Eyles.

Mr. Eyles was a member of English Lutheran Church, Zelienople.

He retired from Wayne Scheidemantle Bus Lines as a driver after 20 years.

During World War II, he served with the Navy in the Pacific. He was a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474.

He was an avid bowler, hunter and fisherman, loved to tell jokes and loved his son and granddaughter.

He is survived by his son, James R. Eyles of Valencia; a brother, Harvey W. Eyles, and a sister, Patricia Jean Kohler and her husband, Raymond, all of Zelienople; a granddaughter, Savanna Eyles; and his stepmother, Goldie Eyles of Zelienople. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Eyles.

<B>EYLES </B>— Friends of Richard N. "Dick" Eyles, who died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Keplinger, his church pastor, officiating.
