Muriel Jane Trulick

Muriel Jane "Munnie" Booher Trulick, 86, of Kittanning died Sunday.

Born Aug. 8, 1921, in Kittanning, she was the daughter of Richard Emanuel Booher of Kittanning and Lucy Elizabeth Harmon Booher of Mosgrove.

She married the late Donald Trulick of Cowansville Feb. 27, 1946. They built their home on Pine Hill in 1947 and lived there all their lives.

She graduated from Kittanning High School in 1939 and then became a licensed beautician. During World War II, she worked for the federal government as an optical inspector and traveled to different states and factories. She worked for years for the Armstrong School District as a cafeteria aide at the Pine Hill and West Hills Elementary schools.

Mrs. Trulick was a lifetime and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Kittanning, was an active member of the Roy Frick Booher American Legion Auxiliary Post 325 in Cowansville and was an avid and strong supporter of our servicemen. She enjoyed working with the Legion serving dinners and breakfasts and participating in fundraisers.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and get-togethers and picnics. She was the biggest supporter of her children and grandchildren and had a close personal friendship with God.

She is survived by four daughters and three sons, Carol Ann (Charles) Hooks of Kittanning, Donald Roy (Ella Lee) Trulick of Bellefonte, Patricia Joan (Leonard) Ritchey of Columbus, Ohio, Richard Lee (Colleen) Trulick of Butler, Margaret Louise Desiderio of Kittanning, John Allen (Tracy) Trulick of Kittanning, and Terri Lynn (Timothy) Clinton of Buffalo Township; 13 grandchildren, Kevin (Jimim), Kerry and Chad Hooks, Kristen (Aaron) Hunter, Michael Ritchey, Ryan and Todd Trulick, Thomas and Tye Desiderio, Gregory and Arissa Trulick and Jared and Jade Clinton; and a great-grandchild, Tanyue Hooks.

She also is survived by three sisters, Helen Lou Merwin, Margaret Leanna Recupero and Elizabeth Joan Recupero, all of Kittanning.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Capt. Roy Frick Booher, Richard Elsworth Booher and David Emanuel Booher; a son-in-law, Thomas Lee Desiderio, and a grandchild, J. Paul Hooks.

<B>TRULICK </B>— Friends of Muriel Jane "Munnie" (Booher) Trulick, who died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME</B> in Kittanning. Visitation also will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Kittanning, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. A. David Meneely officiating. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Park.The Cowansville American Legion Auxiliary will hold a service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
