Goldie Claire Critchlow, 94, formerly of Renfrew, died Saturday at the home of her niece in Butler.

Born Sept. 30, 1913, in Adams Township, she was the daughter of Thomas D. Critchlow and Erla Hughes.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Miss Critchlow was raised and lived on the family farm on Reibold Road for more than 80 years. Daily hard work and compassion for others were part of her nature. She was the eldest of 10 children and helped raise her siblings and their children as if they were her own.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Jane Leinenbach of Butler and Mrs. Louise Benoit and Mrs. Dora Nicklas, both of Evans City; several nieces and nephews. and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Miss Critchlow was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
