I remember the night I met you,

And the day God made you mine,

I remember the day God called you,

And will till the end of time.

Among my tears and heartaches,

There's one thing that makes me glad

That you chose me to share with you the happy forty-two years we had.

Now we tend your grave with loving care -

Because a part of us is buried there.
