Harden "Hardy" Leroy Moren, 75, of West Jefferson Street died at 11:55 a.m. Monday at Sunnyview Home.

Born June 27, 1932, in Wellsburg, W.Va., he was a member of the Secret Seven Club and was the son of John Wesley and Millie Jane (Wilson) Moren.

He had been a restaurant worker in New Jersey.

Mr. Moren attended the Middlesex Presbyterian Church.

He loved playing cards, bingo, taking walks, the Steelers and his children.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Lee, Charles Wesley and John Harden Moren; two daughters, Millie Welch and Joan Leek; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 21 nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are two brothers, John William Moren and James Lloyd Moren and his daughter, Jamie Wagner, both of Butler, who were his caregivers; and a sister, Mildred Cross.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Joy Metzger, who died in October 2001. He also was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother and a sister.
