Harry "Ranny" Fecich, 87, formerly of Highfield, died Saturday evening at the Lowrie House.

Born in Butler, Aug. 10, 1920, he was a son of Wasyl and Sophia Lazorchuk Fecich.

In 1983, he retired from Armco-Butler Works, where he had worked in the wheelworks and the machine shop for 37 years.

A veteran of World War II, he proudly served in the Pacific Theatre as a member of the Marine Corps.

He was a member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, the American Legion Michael Kosar Post 778 in Lyndora, the Butler VFW Post 249, the Highfield Community Center, the Armco Veterans Club and the American Legion Golf League.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Pfabe and her husband, Brian, of Butler; four sons, Dennis Fecich and his wife, Pat, of Butler, David Fecich and his wife, Debbie, of North Canton, Ohio, William Fecich of Warren, Ohio, and Larry Fecich of Renfrew; and a sister, Mary Katrych of Cranberry Township.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Darren Fecich of Beaver Falls; Christina Fecich of Akron, Ohio; Jillian and John Ryan Fecich of North Canton; Jason Fecich and his wife, Mary, of New York, N.Y.; Jarrod Fecich of Warren; Joshua Fecich of Pittsburgh; Justin Fecich of Zelienople; Gregory Fecich of Renfrew; and Gretchen Pfabe of Butler; two stepgrandsons, Matt Buschagen of Fort Hood, Texas; and Mike Buschagen of Raleigh, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances C. Pisocky Fecich, who died Aug. 3, 1991; and by four brothers.

Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora, with the Very Rev. Joseph Wargo officiating.
