Thomas Stewart

Thomas G. Stewart, 68, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Oct, 17, 2007, at his residence.

A native of Jefferson Center, Butler County, he resided in Dayton since 1973.

He graduated from Allegheny College in 1961 with a bachelor of science degree in political science. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1994 with 33 years of Federal Civil Service. Thomas served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Kettering, and served on the Board of Deacons and as a trustee. He was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. Thomas also served as a volunteer with the City of Kettering.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; son, Neil of Switzerland County, Ind.; daughter, Laura of Nashville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Bo Umphrey of New Carlisle, Ohio, Mark Umphrey of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Brian Umphrey of Dayton, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

<B>STEWART</B> — Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering, with the Rev. Molly Jones officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at <B>BRADFORD-CONNELLY & GLICKLER FUNERAL HOME, </B>1849 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio. Burial will be in Saxonburg.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairmont Presbyterian Church.
