Joseph F. DeBerry Jr.
Joseph F. DeBerry Jr., 81, of Sarver died Wednesday at Lund Care Center at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
Born Nov. 26, 1925, in Point Marion, Fayette County, he was the son of Joseph and Wandell Thayer DeBerry.
During World War II, he was a waist gunner on a B-17 and served with the 8th Air Force in Eye, England.
He was employed at Penn Dixie Cement in West Winfield for 47 years and retired as supervisor of the repair department.
Mr. DeBerry was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Wilda McCracken DeBerry; two daughters, Yvonne Pukal of Kittanning and Lisa (Ronald) Strobel of Natrona Heights; a brother, Larry W. (Judy) DeBerry of Sarver; two grandchildren, Morgan Leigh and Samuel Joseph; and two nieces.
A nephew preceded him in death.
<B>DEBERRY</B> — At the request of Joseph F. DeBerry Jr., who died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, there was no public viewing. Private services were held and burial was at Butler County Memorial Park.
