Eleanor Morrow Springer, 82, of Mars died Friday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born in New Castle May 9, 1925, she was the daughter of Stanley D. and Virginia Jean Moffatt Morrow.

Mrs.Springer was a registered nurse and began her career with Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She then worked for Dr. Dunbar, an ophthalmologist in Pittsburgh for 15 years. She then became the bookkeeper for her brother and niece, Drs. Bartley J. and Melanie Morrow, at their dental practice in McCandless Township.

She was a member of Mars United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Louis M. Springer, whom she married July 2, 1954; two brothers, Dr. Bartley J. Morrow, D.D.S. and his wife, LaVerne, and Charles S. Morrow, both of Mars; and several nieces and nephews, Dr. Melanie Morrow, D.M.D., of Mars, Victoria Young, and her husband, Michael, of N.H., Valerie Balfiore, and her husband, James, of Cranberry Township, Clayton S. Morrow and his wife, Karen, of Mars, Dr. Bartley E. Morrow, D.M.D., and his wife, Erika, of Mars, and Candace Luba, and her husband, Larry, of Union City. Also surviving are a number of grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Edna Morrow.

<B>Springer</B> — Friends of Eleanor Morrow Springer, who died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Jean Gomola, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.Condolences and directions are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
