Jack

Harold A. Jack, 81, formerly of Fairview, Petrolia R.D. 1., died Monday evening at Trinity Living Center, Grove City, where he lived for the past several months.

Born in Fairview, Aug. 4, 1926, he was a son Robert F. and Pauline M. Murtland Jack.

He was a member of Fairview United Presbyterian Church and Argyle Lodge 540 F&AM of Chicora.

Mr. Jack attended Fairview Township Karns City High School. During World War II, he served stateside as an airplane mechanic with the Army Air Corps.

He retired from Witco in Petrolia in 1991 after 48 years in the white oil department.

He married the former Alda Lou Logan on June 18, 1953. She died Jan. 3, 2005.

Surviving are two sons, Ross L. Jack and his wife, Laurie, of Grove City and Vincent R. Vogel and his wife, Rhonda, of Butler; and four grandchildren, Michael and Chelsea Harrison of Grove City and Cory and Kristi Vogel of Butler.

He also is survived by three brothers, Robert Orland Jack of Youngwood, Westmoreland County, James Jack and his wife, LaVonne, of Karns City and Larry Jack and his wife, Sue, of Butler; three sisters, Janet Gadsby and her husband, Jack, of Titusville, Dorothy Schoenfeld and her husband, William, of Canfield, Ohio, and Carol Ann Scheidt and her husband, Carl, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Clara Logan of Emlenton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

<B>JACK </B>— Friends of Harold A. Jack, who died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Richard d. Hillis funeral home</B>, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Rowe, a retired Presbyterian pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.Members of Argyle Lodge 540 F&AM will hold a memorial at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
