PITTSBURGH — Kennywood, has become the backdrop for a low-budget, big-screen film starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart.

Kennywood is posing as Long Island's Adventureland in the movie by the same name. Stars are wandering through the 19th-century park with decidedly 1980s-style costumes, complete with stirrup pants and big hair.

The comedy takes place in 1987. Eisenberg, posing as a recent college graduate, spends the summer operating an amusement park ride rather than taking a long-awaited trip to Europe.

Kennywood was chosen as the backdrop because the real Adventureland was deemed too newly renovated to appear authentic.

Kennywood is the country's 12th oldest park and has three wooden roller coasters.
