STATE COLLEGE — Suspended Penn State tailback Austin Scott is asking for a face-to-face meeting with Centre County prosecutors that he believes will change their minds about taking him to trial on rape charges.

Scott was arrested Oct. 12 and charged with rape.

"I still think that if they would speak to me and look me in the eyes and ask me any questions they want, that they would know I am telling the truth," Scott said. "Ask anyone who knows me. Anyone. I have nothing to hide."

Scott faces trial on charges of rape, sexual assault, indecent assault and simple assault stemming from allegations he attacked another Penn State student who went home with him on Oct. 5.
