Wilson Campbell, 76, of Butler died Sunday while he slept at his home.

He was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Oakdale.

Mr. Campbell was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and was one of the Nittany Lions biggest fans.

He became successful in the structural steel business and was partial owner of Rogers Structural Steel in Corry, Erie County, until 1988.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Pittsburgh and the Elks Club of Corry.

He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed his hunting camp in Hearts Content, Warren County. He also was an avid golfer, a good friend to many and always looked forward to spending time with his family.

He was married to his wife, "Honey" Kennedy Campbell, for 56 years and raised their eight children, Cynthia, Scott, Dean, Liz, Ron, Patty, Charlie and Doug in Chautauqua, N.Y., Orlando, Fla., Russell, Pa., and Lake Toxaway, N.C., before moving to Butler to spend their golden years.

He enjoyed his 19 grandchildren, John, Jeff, Scott, Jenna, Cristy, Christopher, Alex, Max, Jake, Casey, Katie, Kellie, Courtney, Ronnie, Nick, Lydia, Eve, Lucas and Mallory,

He also is survived by a sister, Miriam Canning of Wexford; and several nieces and nephews.
