Alessio

Linda L. Como Alessio, 60, of 401 Oakland Ave., Grove City, since 1966, died at 3:33 p.m. Friday at the Grove City Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born in Springfield Township, Mercer County, May 3, 1947, she was the daughter of Erla A. Smiley Como and the late Daniel Como Sr.

She was a 1965 a graduate of Grove City High School. She was a homemaker and had retired early as a licensed insurance agent for All State in Greenville because of her illness. She formerly was a representative for AFLAC.

Mrs. Alessio was a member of the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society and was a former teacher of religious education.

She helped her husband coach baseball in the Youth Baseball League. She enjoyed her home and family, was a very pleasant person, enjoyed camping and loved the insurance field.

Surviving are her husband, Paul F. Alessio, whom she married Oct. 1, 1966; three sons, Mark Alessio and his wife, Kay, of Amhearst, Ohio, Christopher Alessio of Grove City and Maj. Paul Alessio Jr. of Dover N.J.; a grandson, MitchellAlessio of Amhearst; her mother of Grove City; and four siblings, Teri Ketler and her husband, Bruce, of Grove City, Sissy Molnar and her husband, Burt, of Renfrew, and Sharon Gilliland and her husband, John, and Daniel Como Jr. and his wife, Connie, all of Grove City.

<B>ALESSIO </B>— Friends of Linda L. Como Alessio, who died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Visitation also will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, where a Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Hoffman as celebrant. Burial will be at the Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.A vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Family Hospice, 1965 Shenango valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA 16148.
