Paul A. Blakley Jr., 58, of Clinton Township died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at his office in Clinton Township.

Born in Winston-Salem, N.C., April 8, 1949, he was the son of Virginia Walker Blakley of Monroeville and the late Paul A. Blakley.

He was the owner and president of P.A. Blakley Contracting, a landscape contractor in Saxonburg.

Mr. Blakley served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the New Kensington VFW Post.

He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church of Cranberry Township. He also belonged to the Greater Pittsburgh Golf Course Superintendents Association, the North Suburban Builders Association and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Paul A. "Andy" Blakley III and his wife, Amy, of West Deer Township, Allegheny County; a daughter, Paige A. Blakley and her fiancé, Damon Rothhaar, of Dublin, Ohio; a grandson, Anderson David Blakley; a sister, Kathryn Gruber of LaPorte, Sullivan County; and nieces and nephews.

His wife, Candace L. Whittenberger Blakley, whom he married Feb. 19, 1977, died Oct. 3, 2004.

<B>BLAKLEY </B>— Friends of Paul A. Blakley Jr., who died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hope Lutheran Church, 8070 Rowan Road, Cranberry Township. Everyone is to meet at the church. The Rev. Ronald Brown will officiate.
