C. Orrie Marburger, 85, of Evans City and the Franciscan Manor in Beaver Falls died Wednesday at Friendship Ridge in Brighton Township, Beaver County, after a short illness.

Born June 21, 1922, in Jackson Township, he was a son of Charles E. and Mary M. Goehring Marburger.

Mr. Marburger retired from the Billco Manufacturing Co. as a machinist.

During World War II, he served in Europe with the Army Medical Detachment, 331st Infantry, 83rd Division as a surgical technician, ambulance driver and first aid man and earned several medals including a Purple Heart.

His church and country were his pride and he served them both well.

Surviving are a brother, Omar L. "Amos" Marburger and his wife, Dorothy, of New Castle; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Duncan Marburger; three brothers, Leroy C., Herbert A. and Donald E. Marburger; and a sister, Dorothy J. Tabay.
